NBI-EF Model

Executive functioning (EF) is the set of brain-based skills that helps a person manage daily life. It includes the ability to regulate emotions and impulses, hold information in mind, shift attention, plan and organize, and move through changes. Executive Functioning is not about intelligence or effort. It is about the brain's capacity to coordinate thoughts, feelings, and actions so a child can start tasks, stay with them, and recover when things get hard.

The NBI-EF Model organizes Executive Functioning skills into six Bridges. Each Bridge represents a developmental crossing that children must navigate daily. When a Bridge is weak, the child struggles. When it is supported, the child thrives.

"Your calm is their anchor."

The Six Bridge Pathway

A developmental pathway of six Bridges supporting neurodivergent children and families through building and strengthening the executive functioning skills to success.

Below are the details of the six Bridges the NBI-EF model uses to provide your family with the support need to have success with executive functioning skills for success in life.
